Neighbors Meeting Neighbors

On the City’s east side, the SSJ Eastside Neighborhood Network is helping to forge bonds of friendship and trust between neighbors, one block at a time.

This summer brought more than 500 neighbors together through small and individualized block parties, focusing on neighbors living right across the street from one another within the same block.

New and old neighbors alike shared a meal and came to know each other in a new and personal way – one that builds trust and inspires feelings of safety and shared responsibility for the care and keeping of the neighborhood.
